Winning the Lottery: How Sweet It Is!

There’s Winners and Losers and I Don’t Wanna Get Caught on the Wrong Side of That Line*

At what point in your life do you find yourself?  If you’re like most of us, you’re feeling the effects of our most recent economic downturn.  If you could only pick the winning lottery numbers, what impact would that have on your life?  And, if you could learn how to pick winning lottery numbers on a more or less consistent basis or discover a lottery winning system that you could use to replace or supplement your income, what would you do differently than you do now?  How would your life be different?

Maybe, you feel a lot like the individual who wrote me the following letter.  If you identify with her story, perhaps you’ll come to the same conclusion as she.  She writes:

“I’m sick of it.  I’m a college graduate; I’ve worked hard.  I never once broke a law, and I gave to charity, but where did that get me?  Broke, that’s where! I am so sick of hearing about $710 billion bail-outs for wealthy banks, about the $25 million we’ll be forking over to people in other countries looking to mount peaceful revolutions, and about foreign nations snagging millions of U.S. dollars to rebuild after natural disasters.”

“What about my natural disasters?  I got downsized nearly two years ago and, in this economy, my chances of getting hired tomorrow, next week, or next month are about equal to my witnessing pigs winging through the air.  My savings have dwindled to a truly scary level; my investments went down the tube in September of ’08.  I’m screwed and pissed.   I’m disgusted and done with running around on this endless hamster wheel.”

“I deserve to win the lottery, and I’m going to do just that!”

“No, I haven’t lost my mind; I just got just proactive.  There are systems online that claim to increase your chances of winning the lottery by teaching you how to pick the winning lottery numbers as well as lottery winning strategies educating you on how to maximize your winnings.  They carry testimonials from customers worldwide who have won lotteries multiple times!  I’m not a “rube;” I know that there’s no sure-fire, fool-proof way of winning.  But, I do believe that there may be patterns in winning numbers, patterns that I’m just not seeing.  Or perhaps, strategies of which I know nothing.  I’d spend a lot more on losing tickets than I would on one of these systems.  So I’m going to invest in myself and buy one.

“If I hit it big, I’ll go to Hawaii and maybe buy a mansion overlooking a mango grove, so I can have fresh fruit right off the tree.  If I hit a smaller pot, I can make my next mortgage payment, at least, and maybe my car payment, too.  If I hit somewhere in the middle, that’s cool too.  I can follow my favorite band for a few months, sock some dough away, and get a stress-free part time job when I return.  The pressure will be off.  Finally!  I’m gonna do it, and I’m gonna do it today!
